Paramore will perform at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, Calif., on July 15, 2023.

Rock: When rock band Paramore released its new album, "This Is Why," in February, it was the the band's first new material in six years. Fans welcomed the group fronted by vocalist Hayley Williams back with open arms. In a statement announcing the album, Williams summarized the album's title track as "the plethora of ridiculous emotions, the rollercoaster of being alive in 2002, having survived even just the last of three or four years."

Since Paramore's founding in 2004, the band found success performing on The Warped Tour, touring with bands such as New Found Glory, Jimmy Eat World and Bayside. But the 2007 album "Riot!" elevated the band's sound and attained mainstream success. Williams also became a successful solo artist.

It's no surprise Paramore is selling out arenas around the globe. See for yourself when the band performs on Saturday at Acrisure Arena with Foals and The Linda Lindas.

Rock: The late Glenn Frey of The Eagles once referred to Little River Band as "the best singing band in the world." Listen to the group 1978 single "Reminiscing" and the 1979 song "Cool Change," and it's clear why Frey felt that way. The Australian band racked up hits at home and in the U.S. during the '70s and '80s.

But Little River Band endured many lineup changes through the years, and no original members remain. The group is currently fronted by bassist and vocalist Wayne Nelson, who joined in 1980.

Even though the group looks different now, you can expect to hear many familiar songs when Little River Band performs Friday at Morongo Casino Resort and Spa.
