MONROE COUNTY — Visits with Santa, gingerbread making, parades and several library program are scheduled for this Christmas season in Monroe County. Some program requires registration.

  • Every Thursday until Christmas (4-7 p.m.): Santa in an Igloo, downtown Monroe

  • Every Saturday in December (11 a.m.-3 p.m.): YesterWays: Holiday Editions, Monroe County Museum, 126 S. Monroe St.

  • Through Dec. 24: Santa at Cabela’s, 110 Cabela Blvd. East, Dundee

  • Through Dec. 13: Drop off letter for Santa, Monroe County Museum, 126 S. Monroe St.; front door mail slot; include return address

  • Through Dec. 30: Display of trees, toys and villages, Monroe County Museum, 126 S. Monroe St.

  • Though Dec. 12: Ugly Christmas Sweater Design Contest for children, Maybee Branch Library, 9060 Raisin St., Maybee
