Paper-quilling artist Nikki Besser to host gallery reception Oct. 7

Oct. 4—BAGLEY — Artist Nikki Besser will host a closing reception for her gallery show, "Quilling It- Life in Paper" at noon on Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Bagley Public Library.

"Based in northern Minnesota, self-taught artist Nikki Besser uses hundreds, often thousands, of strips of rolled paper, glued and shaped together in various forms to create original, one-of-a-kind artworks," a release said. "Her paper-quilled artworks capture positive life moments of joy, happiness, love, and beauty."

Besser's exhibition has been on display at the library since Aug. 1 and was recently extended until Oct. 7. The Bagley Area Art Collaborative helped support the show, the release said.

Besser is also set to host a paper-quilling demonstration on April 24 as part of the Northern Exposure to Lifelong Learning program. The event will be held in either Clearwater or East Polk County. More details will be released at a later date.
