Panera Bread set to open Dec. 7 on El Paso's West Side

Many El Pasoans will be happy to know the new Panera Bread bakery-cafe will open Dec. 7 on the West Side.

This will be the first Panera in El Paso; the franchise has 113 locations in Texas.

"We are thrilled to open our first bakery-cafe in El Paso. We look forward to delivering great tasting food and impeccable service to our new guests, and we are excited to become a part of this wonderful community," said area operating partner Mike Sanchez in a press release.

The opening, at 6470 N. Desert Blvd, Suite J101 E, will be celebrated with sampling, giveaways and the first 100 guests will receive a free bagel and cream cheese for a year certificate, as well as a free tumbler. In addition, all guests who visit between 6 and 10 a.m. Dec. 7-9 will have a chance to spin a prize wheel to win free tumblers, cookies, bagels and more.

The bakery cafe will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.  The bakery cafe features dine-in, drive-thru, catering, rapid pick-up, delivery and an outdoor patio.

The new location will create more than 50 jobs in the community.
