Padma Lakshmi Lounges in Bed with a Plate of Spaghetti for National Pasta Day

The ‘Taste the Nation’ host had a plate piled high with spaghetti in red sauce in celebration of the holiday

Padma Lakshmi knows how to celebrate in style.

On Tuesday, the Taste the Nation host posted on Instagram in celebration of National Pasta Day, the Oct. 17 holiday in celebration of noodles across the United States.

“Krishna, barging into my room: ‘Mom, it’s #NationalPastaDay,” Lakshmi begins in the caption, speaking of her 13-year-old daughter. “Me: ‘Way ahead of you kid.”

In the photo, Lakshmi dons a lacy pink nightgown while sitting in bed surrounded by pillows and blankets. She holds a plate piled high with spaghetti in red sauce in one hand as she dangles a few noodles into her mouth with the other.

Lakshmi is no stranger to eating a plate of pasta in an untraditional setting.

In March, the former Top Chef host posted a steamy bathtub picture on her Instagram to share her perspective on a controversy sparked by Kourtney Kardashian about whether you should eat in the bathroom or not.

In the photo, Lakshmi sat nude in her bathtub with a glass of white wine in one hand. Lakshmi used her other hand to take a bite of pasta from an aluminum takeout dish filled with cheesy penne sitting in front of her.

"Love a good bath picnic, don't you," Lakshmi wrote before tagging Kardashian in the caption.

Kardashian first riled up her followers when she posted a carousel of seemingly innocuous photos to her Instagram. However, one of the photos had fans talking.

"All that food in the bathroom," wrote one of the Kardashians star's followers alongside two face-palm emojis in reference to a photo showing off her light-blue-colored bathroom floor littered with a buffet of plates piled high with chicken wings, strawberries, cheesecake and champagne.

"Sigh. You used to be [so] classy. What happened?" another follower wrote in the comment section.

Others were more concerned about the placement of the dishes, writing, "Food on the toilet 😮 that's nasty," in reference to the half eaten sandwich resting on the toilet seat.

Kardashian responded on her Instagram Story by sharing the bathtub image alongside a row of spiral eye emojis, writing, "the comments about this photo."
