Is The Pacifier Josh And Anna Duggar Gave Their Daughter A Choking Hazard?

"Counting On" stars Josh and Anna Duggar shared an adorable photo of their newborn daughter this week, and while most people seem to love the pic, some fans have concerns.

First, several commenters raised concerns that Maryella appeared to have jaundice because her skin looks slightly orange in the photo. Now, at least one fan is worried that her pacifier is a choking hazard.

“[I] am a super worry wart. So [I’m] a little worried about her pacifier bead holder. If they break, it’s such a [choking hazard], @annadugger," the fan wrote.

Anna didn't respond to that comment, but she did reply to others who are loving the pacifier and want to know where it's from.

"Omgosh what is the brand of her pacifier? My daughter is pregnant and due in july and that is like the one she had! I want to get one for her baby! And...your baby is absolutely gorgeous!" one fan asked.

Anna responded, saying that it is from Mushie.com.

The couple welcomed their daughter on November 27 with an announcement on Instagram.

"Maryella Hope arrived one day ahead of Thanksgiving Day 2019 and a great reminder to be grateful for all God has done for us!" she wrote. "We are so excited and thankful to God for His special blessing giving us this precious, happy & healthy baby girl!"

Shortly after her birth, Anna revealed on Instagram how they decided on the name for their sixth child.

"So many of you have asked...so here’s the story behind the name Maryella Hope!" she explained. "When Josh’s grandma passed away we considered the name Mary, but we were hesitant because Grandma (Mary Duggar) was such a special lady and we wanted our daughter’s name to be a reminder of how special Grandma was and carry on her legacy, but without feeling like we were trying to replace her.

"Soon, our baby name list that we had narrowed down to 3 names had grown to a list of about dozen Mary-hyphenated names. As we continued chatting about names, Josh and I both fell in love with the name Maryella!"
