P!NK didn’t let severe thunderstorms stop her from playing a concert at Nationals Park in Washington, DC on Monday night. Instead, the singer weathered heavy rain and wind in order to the stage the highly choreographed and acrobatic production — which, at one point, even saw her soar high above the stadium in a harness.
The beginning of the concert was briefly delayed as fans were asked to wait inside of the venue’s concourse until the worst of the storms passed. P!NK finally took the stage around 9:15 p.m. local time but still managed to run through a full 23-song set that mixed greatest hits, covers of Bob Dylan and Sade, and various aerial stunts. “Singin’ in the rain……. What a glorious feeling,” she wrote in an Instagram post alongside video of her performance. Watch the clip and other fan-captured footage below.
P!NK’s “Summer Carnival” — which features special guests Brandi Carlile and Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo runs through the end of August. Come September, she’ll embark on a fall run of North American tour dates with Grouplove. You can find tickets to her upcoming concerts here.
