Ozzy Osbourne Says Next Spinal Surgery Will Be His Last 'Regardless of the Way It Ends': 'Can't Do It Anymore'

Despite his ongoing health battles, the Black Sabbath singer insisted, “I’m far from being on my last leg”

Ozzy Osbourne will be no longer go under the knife after his upcoming fourth surgery related to the structural damage he sustained from a 2019 fall.

During Tuesday’s episode of the relaunched The Osbournes Podcast, the Black Sabbath singer, 74, confirmed that his next surgery will be his last, admitting that it’s taken a toll on him.

"Tomorrow I have my final surgery on my neck,” he said. “Which it is gonna be the final surgery, because I can't do it anymore. Regardless of the way it ends up after tomorrow, I'm not doing it anymore. I can't."

Son Jack Osbourne then asked how he’s feeling as he prepares for the procedure.

"It's alright. It's just like going over for a f—ing haircut now,” Ozzy quipped. “But I have improved somewhat, I think.”

Still, the singer knows he has a ways to go.

“My feet feel like I've got bricks tied to them when I'm walking.” he admitted. “I walked upstairs today and downstairs for the first time in a while, and my feet feel like I've got diving boots on when I'm walking. I think it's the nerves… Then I was thinking, maybe I just need to get up off my ass and walk around the block a few times."

Ozzy also told critics to “f— off” when it comes to his recent health battles, assuring that “I’m far from being on my last leg.”

In the first episode of the family's podcast, Ozzy detailed the pain he’s been in because of ongoing health issues.

“I’m going for an epidural soon because what they’ve discovered is the neck has been fixed,” he said last week, noting that the pain is coming from his back. “Below the neck there’s two vertebrae where the bike hit me and disintegrated, there’s nothing left of ’em.”

The "Crazy Train" singer added, “All I know is right now I’m in a lot of pain. I’m in a lot of discomfort.”

When asked by daughter Kelly Osbourne if he received a second opinion, wife Sharon Osbourne chimed in and said his doctor is working on getting a second and third after the first surgery didn't go as planned.

“In my back, the two discs and the muscles on my shoulders have separated from my skeleton, and that’s why I lean forward as it’s like gravity is bringing my head forward," Ozzy said. "I was thinking, ‘I’ve walked like that all my life.'”

Back in July, Ozzy canceled his upcoming Power Trip Festival performance and announced that his initial plan was to "return to the stage in the summer of 2024."

"Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed," he wrote on Instagram.

He continued, "The band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly. They are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed."

"Above all, I want to thank my fans, my band, and my crew for their unconditional loyalty and continual support. I love you all and I will see you soon," Ozzy concluded.

Ozzy had surgery in 2019 after a fall during a nighttime trip to the bathroom aggravated damage to his neck and back from an ATV accident 16 years before.

Since then, he's undergone two more procedures, the latest being in July 2022. He was also diagnosed with Parkinson's disease following his fall and now uses a cane.
