Own Tony Soprano's Escalade

image

Tony Soprano may not have always made great life choices, but boy, did he have good taste in cars. Case in point: the 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV that Tony piloted through his New Jersey stomping grounds during the final three seasons of David Chase’s groundbreaking HBO series.

Remember that time he chased Lupertazzi family captain Phil Leotardo through the streets, driving him off the road? This is the car that outran ol’ Phil. (Watch the full clip of that scene here.)

Now this sweet honey of a ride can be yours to own thanks to the Boston-based auction house, RR Auction. Two Escalades were used by the production, one for interior driving shots and the other for exterior scenes. According to the auction house, this is the exterior version, and it certainly looks as brand-spanking new as it did on the show.

In addition to the glistening exterior, there are some special treats on the inside as well. James Gandolfini autographed the interior not just once, but twice: on the driver’s side sun visor as well as the panel above the glove box. That makes this car not only a memento of one of the greatest TV shows of all time, but also one of the greatest TV performers of all time, who died all too soon in 2013.

The auction begins on Nov. 12 and bidding will be open until Nov. 19. Right now, the minimum bid is $5,000, but expect that figure to rise very quickly. And we’re asking the eventual winner to make us a promise right now: when you take the car out for your first spin, make sure that you’re blasting “Woke Up This Morning” on the stereo.
