Chernyak noted that intelligence was not seeing any withdrawal of Russian combat units from the occupied parts of these two regions, and any movement is associated with the removal of civilians under the guise of "evacuation" and attempts to take "everything that can be stolen."

He said that in the occupied parts of Zaporizhzhya and Kherson oblasts, Russian forces are preparing for defense, strengthening their fortifications and building new ones.

"The enemy appreciates that they have absolutely no (resources) left (to conduct) any active offensives," he said.

"The only task they have left is to hold the positions they currently have. Any further offensive is absolutely out of the question."

In early February, HUR reported that more than 300,000 Russian troops were in Ukraine at that time.
