‘Outer Banks’ Star Madelyn Cline Is Taken After Split With Chase Stokes: ‘Never Been Happier’

Madelyn Cline is officially off the market!

The “Outer Banks” star recently revealed that she is “happily taken” in her new “Cosmopolitan” cover story. This marks her first relationship since her split with co-star Chase Stokes.

Although Madelyn, 25, didn’t reveal the identity of her partner, she did gush over how he makes her feel.

“All I know is he makes me incredibly happy,” she said. “And I’ve truly never been happier, and I feel very, very empowered.”

Madelyn previously dated her “Outer Banks” co-star Chase Stokes for about a year and a half before the two broke up. Their relationship was closely followed by the public, especially by avid fans of the show. Since then, the “Glass Onion” star has learned to keep the details of her private life exactly that – private.

“I am a really private person. There’s a part of me that is for me and nobody else. But in hindsight, duh, making my relationship public made it everybody else’s business,” she said to “Cosmopolitan” about her relationship with Chase.

It was going through a public breakup that made Madelyn really evaluate how much she wanted to share with the public moving forward: “And I realized the negative side effects of that while going through the breakup, realizing I had let people in and then felt like I couldn’t get anybody out. It just hit me like a freight train. I wanted us both to move on and be happy. People see the need for sides. There are no sides — there’s no winning or losing in a breakup.”

When it comes to this new relationship, Madelyn is ready to do what it takes to go the distance.

“Love is tight. And when you find something like that, you fight for that s–t,” she said. “And also, you fight to keep it yours, you know?”

For his part, Chase, 30, recently sparked romance rumors when he posted a photo to Instagram in which he tagged country music star Kelsea Ballerini, 29.

When asked where he and Kelsea stand, Chase coyly answered, “She’s a sweet girl. We’re having a good time and that’s all I’ll say.”

When it comes to working on “Outer Banks” together, both Chase and Madelyn maintain there is no bad blood between the two of them.

In a recent interview, the two shared what it’s been like filming the third season of the hit show together.

“Mads and I have been working together now for 30 episodes, and we made a promise to each other before we even started dating that the work was always going to come first,” Chase said. “And that no matter what happens in our personal lives, […] we’re always going to honor the work. That stayed 100 percent truthful this season.”

“We had a working relationship before we had a personal relationship, and our job from day one has always been to leave the show better than we found it,” Madelyn echoed. “I’m really, really happy and I’m very proud of the work this season, and I’m incredibly grateful for my co-stars and their professionalism and just how talented each and every one of them are.”
