Chase Stokes is many things — a talented actor, the star of the Netflix hit show Outer Banks, an MTV Movie Award winner, and of course, a proud dog dad to his golden retriever and German shepherd mix, Milo. Like many of us, Stokes also suffers from spring allergies and help pet parents get outside and not be deterred by pesky allergies, Stokes is teaming up with  ZYRTEC® for the Pet Pawsitivity program.

We were lucky enough to sit down and chat with Stokes recently to learn all about his latest partnership and other important information like Milo’s current favorite toys (some of which are currently on sale on Amazon) and which type of dog breed Stokes thinks each Outer Banks cast member would be.

“As a dog owner, and as somebody who spends so much time in the outdoors, combining allergy relief and dogs into one was like the perfect, fun little cocktail,” Stokes told SheKnows of his ZYRTEC® partnership. “They’re [Zyrtec] partnering with an application called WoofTrax and WoofTrax is an app on your phone, but it tracks your walks (with a dog or without a dog), and every walk that you take raises money for local animal charities.” Allergy relief and charitable fundraising? Count us in. Stokes explained that all you need to do to help raise money for local charities is to download the app and take your dog for some sunny, spring walks.

Of course, with all this talk of outside activities, we were curious about which toys Milo currently loves and one of his favorites just happens to be a super affordable toy that we found on sale on Amazon. “He has this crazy obsession with these balls, they’re blue and orange and I’ve come to realize that every dog is slightly obsessed with these balls.”

This two-pack of Chuckit! balls (which match Stokes’ description perfectly) just happen to be on sale for 62% off, bringing the price down to just a little over $5.

But affordable balls aren’t the only thing Milo loves. “A couple of years ago I was turned on to bully sticks as a really great alternative to rawhide for dogs so that’s a snack that I love to give him,” Stokes explained.

While Stokes didn’t disclose the exact brand of bully sticks he prefers to give Milo, we found these best-selling bully sticks on Amazon and they come with over 12,000 five-star customer reviews.

Toy recommendations weren’t Stokes’ only tip for pet owners. We asked him for his best advice for new pet parents and he replied, “I think just don’t rush into it. Also, make sure that you have the time to be present in those early years. What they learn during the puppy phase is so vital to their adult years.”

We also had just enough time to squeeze in one very important question for Stokes: Which dog breed would each Outer Banks cast member be? And of course, Stokes’ answer was spot-on. “I think JJ would be a corgi,” Stokes reveals. “Jonathan Davis who plays Pope has a German shepherd named Titan and because Milo and Titan are so analytical, I think the way the Pope operates would make him a German Shepherd, but like a miniature German Shepherd, because he is a little timid.” According to Stokes, Kiara, who is played by actress Madison Bailey, would be a golden doodle because of her “smart, loving” personality. Lastly, “I think Sarah Cameron would probably be like a chocolate lab,” Stokes adds.
