The Ottawa County Fair is coming fast: Here's what to expect
PARK TWP. — Grandstand shows, special events, 4-H programming and a carnival.
Those are some of the main features of the 2023 Ottawa County Fair.
The fair is coming soon, running Tuesday-Saturday, July 25-29, at 1286 Ottawa Beach Road in Park Township. All information about this year’s fair can be found at ottawacountyfair.com.
Gates open at 1 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 12 p.m. Saturday. Gate admission is $5. Children aged 12 and under enter free.
Carnival rides open one hour after the gates. Wristbands are $15 on Tuesday, $20 on Wednesday-Friday and $25 on Saturday. Advance ticket deals are available before July 24 at $17 for a one-day wristband or $45 for a three-day wristband. Carnival rides are provided by Elliott’s Amusements.
Grandstand events are as follows:
Tuesday, July 25 — 7:30 p.m. Unique Motor Sports Destruction/Demo Derby. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 3-10. Sign-up is available online at unique-motor-sports.com.
Wednesday, July 26 — 7 p.m. Monster Truck Throwdown. Cost is $10 for any seat.
Thursday, July 27 — 7 p.m. SJO Motocross. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 3-10 and $10 for a pit pass. Race info, including how to participate, is available online at sjoproductions.com.
Friday, July 28 — 7 p.m. DeWayne Spaw followed by The Super Kicker Rodeo. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3-10. Sign-up is available online at superkickerrodeo.com/entry-information.html.
Saturday, July 29 — OCF Mud Runs. Start time TBD. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 3-10 and $10 for a pit pass.
Grandstand tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth the day of the event.
Kids Day runs 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, with special activities and a bike draw. Senior Day runs 1-4 p.m. Wednesday with ice cream, bingo and more. Thursday is Military, Police, and Firefighter Appreciation Day. Members of those groups get free admission with a uniform or appropriate ID.
Friday is Western Night, with line dancing from 5:30-6:30 p.m. by the Bill Boss Building and again after the rodeo.

Wednesday: 5-7 p.m. Indie w/Charis Snyder
Thursday: 5-7 p.m. Blues Singer Michael J. Howe
Friday: 5-7 p.m. Park Theatre Karaoke Night
Saturday: 5-8 p.m. Park Theatre Open Mic Night
4-H shows take place every day of the fair. The beer tent is open 5-10 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 2-10 p.m. Saturday.
