Oscars: Academy Sets Ceremony Dates for Next Four Years

The Academy and ABC announced on Tuesday the next four Oscar dates.

Next year’s 90th Academy Awards will be held on March 4. The show will return to February in 2019 — to be held on Feb. 24. In 2020, the ceremony is set for Feb. 23. It will take place on Feb. 28 the following year.

The date for the 90th Oscars, which had already been announced, is moving into March as not to compete with the Winter Olympics. The closing ceremony of the Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, will be held on Feb. 25.

As usual, next year’s Oscars will take place at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre

Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd are negotiating with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences about a possible return to produce the Oscars in 2018. The Academy is also reportedly interested in having Jimmy Kimmel come back as host.AMPAS also released key dates for the 2017 awards.Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017
