Jimmy Kimmel knew how to get the crowd to cut loose at the 2024 Oscars!

During Kimmel's fourth hosting stint at Sunday's 96th Academy Awards, the comedian brought his Jimmy Kimmel Live! sidekick, Guillermo Rodriguez, on stage at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The pair then took a shot of Don Julio tequila, before Kimmel, 56, invited the rest of the audience to toss one back with him and Rodriguez.

During the bit, Rodriguez purposely mispronounced the names of celebrities in the audience, like Colman Domingo and John Krasinski, for laughs. "Raise your glass to Mr. Colman Flamingo! Emily Blunt! John Kaczynski!" Rodriguez, 53, declared, with Kimmel correcting him on Krasinski's last name.

"I'm going to toast everybody," Rodriguez continued. "I love everyone here, and I love you, Jimmy. I love tequila, and I love my beautiful wife, Miss Charlize Theron. I love you. You're my angel."

Upon Rodriguez mentioning Theron, the camera cut to the surprised actress who looked around confused while smiling.

"Salud, everybody!" Rodriguez said.

Kimmel joined in on the fun, toasting America Ferrera and Kate McKinnon, who emerged onstage to present the awards for Best Documentary Short and Best Documentary Feature.

Rodriguez is known for inviting celebrities to take tequila shots with him on the Oscars red carpet.

At last year's ceremony, Rodriguez handed Nicole Kidman a jar of Vegemite and took shots with Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Eva Longoria, Danai Gurira, Hong Chau, David Bradley, John Cho, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Antonio Banderas, Ke Huy Quan and the cast of Top Gun: Maverick, among other celebrities.

Going into Sunday's awards show, Oppenheimer led all movies in nominations, with a whopping 13 total. The Christopher Nolan-helmed drama was followed by the Emma Stone-starring Poor Things, which earned 11. Killers of the Flower Moon received 10 nominations for Sunday's show, while 2023's highest-grossing movie, Barbie, scored eight. American Fiction also received five nominations.
