Oscar nominations: Joyce Eng, Matt Neglia and Anne Thompson are the best Experts
Congratulations to our Experts Joyce Eng (Gold Derby), Matt Neglia (Next Best Picture) and Anne Thompson (Indiewire) for an excellent score of 77.50% when predicting the 2024 Oscar nominations on Tuesday morning. This trio is best among 28 journalists who cover the entertainment industry throughout the year. See Experts’ scores.
A total of 10,893 people worldwide predicted these Academy Awards nominees in 23 categories with our top scorers getting 93 of 120 nominee slots correct. Nominations were announced in Los Angeles by Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid. The Oscars ceremony will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel on Sunday, March 10, for ABC.

For the other 25 Experts predicting, Tariq Khan (Gold Derby) and Scott Mantz (KTLA) are in second place at 76.67%. Next at 75.83% is Christopher Rosen (Gold Derby). Tied at 75.00% each are Thelma Adams (Gold Derby), Erik Davis (Fandango), Pete Hammond (Deadline) and Kevin Polowy (Yahoo). Up next at 74.17% are Shawn Edwards (WDAF), Wilson Morales (BlackFilmandTV) and Michael Musto (Queerty).
Following at 73.33% is Clayton Davis (Variety) and then Peter Travers (ABC) and Brian Truitt (USA Today) at 72.50%. We then have a four-way tie at 71.67% for Susan King (Gold Derby), Perri Nemiroff (Collider), Nikki Novak (Fandango) and Sasha Stone (Awards Daily). Jazz Tangcay (Variety) is next at 70.83% and then Tom O’Neil (Gold Derby) at 70.00%. Tied at 67.50% are Hanh Nguyen (Salon), Ray Richmond (Gold Derby) and Keith Simanton (IMDb). The final slots are held by Claudia Puig (KPCC) at 65.00%, Andrea Mandell (People) at 64.17% and Susan Wloszczyna (Gold Derby) at 55.00%.
