Orville Peck’s third studio album is coming in hot and the country musician is staying true to its title. Stampede Vol. 1 will be released on May 10, featuring a full slate of duets with appearances from Elton John, Noah Cyrus, Midland, Allison Russell, Nathaniel Rateliff, Bu Cuaron, and Willie Nelson.

On Instagram, Russell commented beneath Peck’s unveiling of the featured guest across the record, writing: “So delighted to be a part of this with you & all these luminaries @orville 🙌🏾🙌🏾🥰🌈🌈🌈”

Stampede Vol. 1 will arrive just weeks before Peck kicks off the previously announced Stampede tour. The trek will make stops throughout North America beginning on May 28.

Peck first previewed Stampede Vol. 1 with a special collaboration with Nelson, “Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond Of Each Other.” In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the musician discussed working with the country legend to cover the Ned Sublette classic.

“Willie kept talking about how the subject matter in this song was more important than ever. He wanted it to have a new life with the two of us,” Peck shared. “With all the rhetoric surrounding the LGBTQIA+ community these days, it is so encouraging to have real allies like Willie that aren’t afraid to stand proudly next to us.”

The album will mark Peck’s first since 2022’s Bronco. “I took a break from last year to focus on myself, and even though it was a difficult decision at the time, I’m so happy I did,” the musician told Rolling Stone earlier this month. “I feel healthier and happier than I’ve ever felt in my life, and I cannot wait to get back on the road.”
