After taking a break from touring, Orville Peck is ready to hit the road.

Rolling Stone can exclusively announce that the country star — who recently announced his signing to Warner Records — will hit the road later this year on a massive headlining tour. He also teased a new collaboration with Willie Nelson.

More from Rolling Stone

“I took a break from last year to focus on myself and even though it was a difficult decision at the time, I’m so happy I did,” he tells Rolling Stone. “I feel healthier and happier than I’ve ever felt in my life and I cannot wait to get back on the road.”

Peck will commence the tour on May 28 in North Carolina, before making stops in Atlanta, Columbus, Chicago, Toronto, St. Louis, and Los Angeles. He’ll bring numerous other artists on the road with him, including The War and Treaty, Gold Star, and Nikki Lane.

Presale tickets will go on sale on April 3 at 10 a.m. local time, before general tickets go onsale Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m. local time.

Nelson is set to join Peck on a cover of Ned Sublette’s queer-coded track, “Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond Of Each Other.” (Nelson previously covered it in 2006.)

“Just getting to be around Willie is so special,” Peck says. “You’d think he would make you starstruck because he is such a legend, but he just emanates joy.”

“It was his initial idea for us to do the song together and I will forever be grateful for his support,” he adds. “As an artist who has sometimes felt excluded from the Country music industry, once Willie Nelson wants to work with you, there’s really nothing the country world can say after that.”

The new song with the country legend follows Peck’s release earlier this year of “This Masquerade,” and his 15-track album Bronco last April, which featured singles “The Curse of the Black Eye” and “C’mon Baby, Cry.”
