Orlando Blooms Wears Just His Bathing Suit While Rolling in Snow amid 47th Birthday Celebrations

The 'Lord of the Rings' star joked that he is "keepin it cool" as he braved the cold in his swimwear

Orlando Bloom is having some chilly birthday fun!

The movie star turned 47 on Saturday, and he spent his special day frolicking in the snow while hot-tubbing with his pals.

Bloom documented his snowy escapade with a video of himself — clad in just a swimsuit — on his Instagram Story.

“Keepin it cool,” the Lord of the Rings star captioned the chilly clip. “Thank you for the birthday wishes.”

In the clip, he tiptoed from an outdoor hot tub to a patch of snow, where he proceeded to lay on his back, despite the icy temperatures.

Yelling as he went, the actor then flipped himself over onto his front and laid in the cold, wet fluff on his bare stomach for a moment before running back to his friends in the hot tub as they laughed and cheered him on.

Though his fiancé, Katy Perry did not appear to be present for Bloom's icy birthday antics, just a week ago, she celebrated another special milestone for the couple — the anniversary of when they first met.

On Jan.7, Perry, 39, streamed the 2024 Golden Globes to check out her fiancé — who was presenting at the ceremony — on screen, she shared a special message for the actor on X (formerly Twitter).

"OMG #ORLANDOBLOOM LOOKING INSANELY HANDSOME AT THE #GOLDENGLOBES HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MY LOVE," Perry wrote.

The couple, who share daughter Daisy, 3, met at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2016.

Explaining how they first crossed paths during an episode of American Idol, Perry said, "I met my boyfriend over In-N-Out. We were at the Golden Globes and we weren't together."

"So I had my security guard grab 10 In-N-Outs and all of a sudden I see my boyfriend's hand — he wasn't even sitting at our table — he just swoops in and he grabs it and I was like, 'Hey that's my burger!'”

Chatting with PEOPLE in 2022, Perry opened up about her love for Bloom.

The pop star — who was caught looking at Bloom's Sexiest Man Alive photoshoot on American Idol — said she "doesn't need a magazine to remind me that my man is hot — I know it."

"But I like it,” she added of the Gran Turismo star’s PEOPLE shoot. “I like everyone else knowing.”
