Orlando Bloom might be busy as a working dad, but he always makes time for his two kids.

The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean star has two children, son Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland with his ex-wife, model and entrepreneur Miranda Kerr, and daughter Daisy Dove with his fiancée Katy Perry.

Though Bloom tends to be fairly private about his kids' lives, he has shared occasional anecdotes about them over the years. While speaking to PEOPLE in November 2021, the actor revealed his favorite activities to do with his children.

"We like to have experiences and shared experiences; anything from a pumpkin patch to a hike, to a beach, to a day at Disneyland, to a museum," he said. "My life is particularly blessed because of the people in it. I'm most grateful for that and them."

Here's everything to know about Orlando Bloom's son Flynn and daughter Daisy Dove.

Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom was born on Jan. 6, 2011, in Los Angeles, with Kerr calling him "our little ray of sunshine" in the birth announcement.

Flynn's three middle names are almost an exact mirror of his dad's middle names, though Bloom's name swaps "Christopher" for "Jonathan." The name "Copeland" comes from Bloom's mother's maiden name.

He's "protective" of his mom

Although he was only 2 years old when his parents divorced, Kerr has been outspoken about how much Flynn understood of the situation.

Bloom and Kerr dated for three years before getting married in July 2010. A few months later, the former couple welcomed Flynn. They announced their divorce in October 2013.

"He had always been very vocal at a young age, and I remember before we even separated, he was like, 'Daddy, don't look at Mommy like that,' " she shared in an August 2021 interview on the Moments with Candace Parker podcast. "He was always very protective."

He's a fan of his dad's movies

In a 2017 appearance on the British daytime TV show This Morning, Bloom revealed that Flynn was a big fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise, in which Bloom plays Will Turner.

"He's seen the first three films at least, and he loved them," Bloom said.

The actor also mentioned that once Flynn started going to school, he wanted to introduce his son to the movies before anyone else did.

He often hangs out with his dad

In 2018, Bloom shared a cute Instagram photo from a father-son hangout with Flynn, calling it a "very important lunch date."

Though Bloom rarely gets emotional on social media, he did post a heartfelt message about Flynn a year prior. "When I was a boy I dreamed of creating a kingdom to share and balance love with life, career and everything in between," he captioned a picture of them.

Bloom continued: "Something I didn't fully comprehend till my son opened my heart. Could not be more grateful #myboy and that #evolution."

He's a good older brother

Flynn has three siblings: brothers Hart and Myles from his mom's marriage to Snap Inc. founder Evan Spiegel, and sister Daisy from his dad's relationship with Perry. He will soon be a brother to four, as Kerr and Spiegel are currently expecting their third child.

It seems like Flynn loves being a big brother, as Kerr revealed that he was excited about having a sibling after his parents officially split.

"Evan and I had been together for a while," Kerr told Jimmy Kimmel in 2018. "And [Flynn] was like, 'When are we going to have another baby brother or sister?' We were like, 'Look, we've got to get married first!' "

In 2021, Kerr raved to E! News about how "sweet" Flynn is with his little sister.

He's an amazing artist

Kerr has shared some of Flynn's artwork on social media over the years, documenting his progression from doodler to budding pro. In March 2021, she posted Flynn's impressive pencil sketch of a horse, alongside a caption calling him her "little artist."

In her several Instagram birthday tributes to Flynn, Kerr has pointed out his creative side. "I'm so proud of how kind, creative and thoughtful you are. You inspire me every day," she wrote for his 11th birthday.

He spends a lot of time with his stepparents

Both Bloom and Kerr have nailed the art of co-parenting, and it seems like Flynn is close with both of his stepparents.

"We go on family holidays together, we have Christmas together. We all like each other's company and I feel so lucky for that," Kerr told Marie Claire in 2021. "We said to Flynn, 'Now you have even more love.' "

Earlier that year, Bloom posted a sweet photo of Flynn holding hands with himself and Perry on a family walk.

While speaking to WSJ Magazine Editor Kristina O'Neill, Kerr opened up about co-parenting with Bloom, revealing that she was "so happy" her ex found someone that makes him happy in Perry.

"Because at the end of the day, for Flynn to have a happy father and a happy mother is the most important thing," she said.

A few months after Daisy's birth on Aug. 26, 2020, Bloom went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and revealed that his daughter got the perfect blend of his and Perry's looks. "It was funny because when she first came out, I was, 'Oh, it's me, it's a mini-me!' " he said. "Then, fortunately, she got those Katy blues which was perfect."

A year later, Perry echoed Bloom, telling Access Hollywood that Daisy "has kind of a combination of Orlando's brows and my eyeballs, but she now does all these like, big eyes … Everything is so new."

She's a Virgo

In a 2021 appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Perry joked that Daisy fits the description of her astrological sign, Virgo.

"Yeah, of course there's a routine. My daughter is a Virgo and she thrives in routine," Perry said of life as a working mother.

Her first word was "dada"

Bloom gave some rare insight into his home life when he opened up to The Sunday Times, revealing that much to his delight, her first word was "dada."

"Daisy's a very happy baby," he said. "I'll do eye-gazing with her and sing songs, 'Daddy loves his Daisy Dove,' so she knows who Daddy is."

She has lots of "chutzpah"

Bloom and Perry have mostly kept Daisy out of the spotlight, but Perry did open up about her daughter's budding personality in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in 2022.

"Daisy is great," she said. "She is a combination of both me and her father, which we are fearless with lots of chutzpah and just big characters."

She occasionally twins with her mom

Perry, known for her outrageous style choices, has swapped costumes for mommy-and-me outfits. She told PEOPLE that she's a "sucker" for matching clothes and that she loves to style Daisy.

"I kind of already have a vault. I don't know where she's going to be able to wear all these crazy outfits, but I'm saving them for her," Perry said.

She plays by her own rules

In early 2022, Perry revealed that Daisy was "starting to push her boundaries." On an episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan, she noted that Daisy "loves to throw food on the floor to the dogs," and she plays with things she definitely shouldn't.

"What is she into? Well, you know what I think? I think if you gave all of the toys that you ever wanted to, to a kid they would still want to touch electrical outlets," Perry joked.

She's a performer

"She's a ham," Perry told PEOPLE of her daughter in 2022. "She likes to dress up. She's not very shy."

It seems like Daisy also inherited both of her parents' knack for performing: "She loves ballet," Perry added. "She goes to tutu school and she loves it. It's all very adorable."

Fittingly, Daisy made her first public appearance in a big way, attending her mom's final Las Vegas residency show in November 2023.

The 3-year-old popped up on the screen at one point, and Perry gave her a sweet shout-out. "Daisy! I love you so much," Perry said, as seen in fan-captured footage shared on X (formerly known as Twitter). "You're my best friend, I'm so glad you're here."
