Orlando Bloom stars in ‘The Outpost,’ George Lopez makes his Netflix debut and more of this week's best in pop culture

Orlando Bloom and Scott Eastwood star in the Afghan war thriller, “The Outpost.” It details a 2009 attack by 400 Taliban insurgents in the Battle of Kamdesh. The film is based on CNN anchor Jake Tapper’s 2012 bestselling non-fiction book, “The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor.” The film opens Friday, July 3 in theaters and via on demand. George Lopez stars in his first Netflix comedy special. In the one-hour stand-up, titled “George Lopez: We'll Do It for Half,” he gets personal about the Latinx experience. Lopez touches on topics of family, immigration and the political climate in the U.S. It was filmed in the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco last year. “George Lopez: We'll Do It For Half” premieres Tuesday, June 30 on Netflix.
