Welcome to the dark side, Oreo.

Star Wars fans will soon have a new movie-night treat to snack on. The cookie company announced limited edition Star Wars Oreos, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal, and they're full of references to the sci-fi flick.

There are two versions of the specialty cookie sets — one representing the dark side of the Force and the other corresponding with the light side. But both sets have identical packaging so fans won’t know which “side” they have until they peel open the container.

The packaging pays homage to the series’ rich history and fan base. Illustrations of the beloved characters surround a massive Oreo (which has red and blue Lightsabers sticking out behind it). The character illustrations are the original, hand-painted artwork from illustrator Greg Hildebrandt, who has been a Star Wars poster artist since 1977. Below the Star Wars and Oreo logos, the package reads, “Dark Side or Light Side Open to Discover Your Destiny.”

Inside the dark side pack, the cookie sandwiches are filled with red cream whereas the light side cookies have a blue cream filling. No matter which side the cookies are on, both versions have “kyber” sugar crystals in each bite “inspired by the crystals found in a Lightsaber,” according to a press release.

The dark and light side differences don’t stop with the filling color. Darth Vader, Darth Maul and stormtroopers are among the characters embossed on the dark side cookies. Luke Skywalker, Yoda and Princess Leia can be found carved into the cookies from the light side pack. In total, there are 10 distinct characters in each pack.

Frozen actor and Star Wars superfan Josh Gad partnered up with the snack brand to tease the special-release cookies.

“You may know this as the Millennium Falcon. Correct? Correct,” Gad says in a conspiracy theory-like video shared on Oreo’s Instagram on May 4 (also known as Star Wars Day). “But now, it is incontrovertibly a cookie.”

The actor holds up an Oreo to the side of the spaceship before the video continues, pointing out other elements that look like the sandwich cookies.

The limited-time packs will be available for presale online on May 30 and available at retailers nationwide starting June 10.

In 2023, the beloved cookies partnered up with Nintendo’s famous platforming plumber Mario for Super Mario-themed Oreos.

Similar to the Star Wars packs, the Super Mario cookies featured heroes and villains from the video game’s universe. There were 16 different designs with classic characters like Mario and Luigi and famous villians like Bowser Jr. and the Goombas.
