Oprah Winfrey, Nicole Kidman and Leonardo DiCaprio are just a few of the bold-faced names who gathered at The Pool Lounge inside of New York City’s storied Seagram building on Tuesday night to support the Kering Foundation’s Caring for Women dinner.

The star-studded gala, which returned for its second annual event this year, was co-chaired by Salma Hayek Pinault and her husband Francois-Henri Pinault, the chairman and CEO of Kering, in addition to Winfrey, Zoe Kravitz, Cindy Sherman, Christy Turlington Burns, Olivia Wilde and Malala Yousafzai. The event’s theme was “Strength In Numbers,” with net proceeds benefitting Malala Fund, the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) and the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault. Last year’s inaugural dinner raised more than $3 million.

Once attendees walked a short carpet on East 52nd, they made their way into a dimly lit cocktail lounge before filing into a jungly dining room, where tables were outfitted in verdant linens and lush greenery lined the walls. Kim Kardashian, in a shimmering sheer pink Balenciaga turtleneck dress, took selfies with Nicole Kidman; Tracee Ellis Ross chatted with the Vice President of Fashion at Meta Eva Chen; Lindsey Vonn huddled with Gayle King; Lauren Sánchez posed for pictures in front of the VIP section of the bar. Channing Tatum, who recently starred alongside Hayek in “Magic Mike’s Last Dance,” was also in attendance.

“I’ve learned so much all these years about what it means to care for other people,” Winfrey said in a speech. “Your legacy is not one thing. It’s not your name on a building, it’s not how much money you have, it’s not all the things you think are legacy building. It’s actually every light you touch, it’s every light you touch.”

During dinner, Hayek announced the night’s auction, which included dozens of items from Kering, Gucci, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Brioni Pomellato and Ginori 1735. One-of-a-kind fashion experiences and original artworks from Cindy Sherman, Wangechi Mutu and Emily Yang (pplpleasr) were also up for auction.

The night closed with a performance by Grammy-nominated artist Florence Welch of the band Florence & the Machine, followed by a DJ set by Coco & Breezy during the after party.

“I’ve always been physically active so I strongly suggest you stay for the after-party and dance, dance, dance like nobody’s watching!” Hayek said from stage near the end of the night. “Unless Channing [Tatum] starts dancing next to you, then run for your life because you don’t want to be compared to that one.”
