Open Mike Eagle’s prolific year continues today with a single called “The Edge of New Clothes”. The track follows last month’s “Whiskey Push-ups” and the rapper’s Comedy Central variety series The New Negroes earlier in the year.

“The Edge of New Clothes” is off a new compilation album from The Needle Drop’s Anthony Fantano. All proceeds benefit the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, a nonprofit that “provides immigration legal trainings, technical assistance, and educational materials, and engages in advocacy and immigrant civic engagement to advance immigrant rights.”

The center is currently addressing the detestable conditions of migrant detention centers, as well as Donald Trump’s recent ICE raid strategies.

The benefit compilation is due out October 25th and also features contributions from Xiu Xiu, Oxbow, and more. For further details on the release, head to the Needle Drop website.

OME dropped his What Happens When I Try to Relax EP late last year.
