Oops! Jennifer Garner and daughter Violet had to be rescued after they got lost kayaking in Sweden

Jennifer Garner recently took her daughter Violet on a trip they’ll always remember — for a reason they’d probably rather forget.

The Dallas Buyers Club actress was spending time with the eldest of her three children with ex Ben Affleck, when they got a little turned around. Unfortunately, mom and daughter happened to be out in a kayak. In Sweden. It’s too bad Affleck — wearing his handy Batman suit — wasn’t around to help them, because they did need some assistance, as Garner wrote in an Instagram post on Monday.

The 46-year-old star and her almost-middle schooler seemed to have handled the whole situation pretty well. That beautiful sunset would make it awfully tough to be upset. Garner even used a hashtag to note that the view was “a big upside.”

Of course, mom and daughter were most likely out on the water much less than the “100 hours” that Garner referred to, because she has a habit of adorably embellishing things on Instagram. She’s joked that she’d need to learn a dance she admired at “a geriatric pace” and thanked people in “a million ways.” It’s kinda her thing, and it’s part of why we love her.

Garner didn’t mention her younger children in the kayaking post, but daughter Seraphina, 9, and 6-year-old son, Samuel, won’t be ready for middle school for several more years.

She’ll definitely have kayaking down by then, especially since her upcoming HBO show is called Camping.
