OnlyFans model, Courtney Clenney, used to be known for her racy OnlyFans content, but now the world knows her for allegedly fatally stabbing her athlete boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, earlier this year. A recently released video has now shown Clenney's emotional reaction to the police confirming to her that Obumseli had died from his injuries.

Four months after the events of the video, Clenney was charged with second-degree murder with a deadly weapon for Obumseli's death. She was initially arrested in Hawaii, extradited to Hawaii, and has now pled not guilty to the charges. Miami State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle spoke on the charges and said that evidence is against Clenney's claims of self-defense.

Clenney has been denied bond after the prosecution argued that she's a flight risk due to her heavy income from sites like OnlyFans. Earlier this year, her lawyer, Frank Pieto, released a statement claiming the couple had a "clearly toxic" and "complicated" relationship. The late athlete's family has disputed this claim.

The newly released video showed Clenney in the Miami Police interrogation room as she spoke to cops and asked for updates on Obumseli's health. At the time, the late athlete was in the hospital being treated for stab wounds. The video was obtained by Law & Crime and showed the OnlyFans model talking to herself and sobbing for Obumseli to be okay.

When the Miami police interrogators arrive, the first thing Clenney asks is for an update on Obumseli's health, and they tell her he's still being monitored by doctors. She then asks if he'll need surgery, but the interrogators tell her it's too early to know. A few hours and an outfit change later, Clenney is finally informed that Obumseli is dead, which triggers an emotional response.

Clenney sighs heavily, puts a hand to her chest, and another to her mouth, seemingly in disbelief at the news. She asks the police if the news is true and then says, "This is not real, right?" Based on the OF model's reaction, it's clear that she had difficulty processing the news that Obumseli was really gone.

Four months after the events of the interrogation video, Clenney was finally charged with second-degree murder with a deadly weapon for Obumseli's death. She was initially arrested in August in Hawaii and extradited to Miami to face the charges.

Clenney has now pled not guilty to the charges. According to CBS News, Miami State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle spoke on the charges and said that evidence is against Clenney's claims of self-defense. The model claims that she threw the knife from feet away in defending herself from Obumseli's attacks.

Rundle stated that the medical examiner has also reportedly disputed the model's account of the incident and noted that Obumseli's injury is more consistent with a "downward knife strike." It has also been determined that the athlete was killed by a three-inch deep knife stab wound to his chest.

She Has Been Denied Bond

Clenney recently had her first of many trial proceedings, and this one was to decide on her application for bond. The judge has now denied the model bond after the prosecution argued that she's a flight risk due to her heavy income from sites like OnlyFans.

According to CBS Miami, the model, who has over 2 million followers on OnlyFans, earned almost a million dollars in 2020 alone and almost two million in 2021. Since the news of Obumseli's death, Clenney has also become more popular, so the judge couldn't ignore the possibility of her fleeing to avoid the law.

Her Lawyer Said They Had A Toxic Relationship

Earlier this year, Frank Pieto, Clenney's lawyer, boldly stated that he was sure there would be no charges brought for Obumseli's death. He's been proven terribly wrong with the murder charges and the denial of bond.

According to NBC News, Prieto released a statement saying that the couple had a "clearly toxic" and "complicated" relationship, and their friends and family knew it. Just a week before Obumseli's death, Clenney had reportedly kicked him out of her place on allegations of abuse.

Obumseli's family also released their own statement saying they had no reason to believe that the stabbing "was a case of self-defense." The statement read, "Toby was raised by a very strong family, with strong morals, and strong values. He does not come from that."
