You don’t have to be a Paul Rudd superfan to appreciate Ben Glenroy’s resume in Only Murders in the Building Season 3, but it sure does help to have even a cursory knowledge.

Following Ben’s (tragic?) demise, Hulu’s murder mystery heads to Cobro’s funeral — and that’s where the fun begins. The A-list pop star said to give the eulogy represents the first of several Easter eggs scattered throughout Episode 2, all of which allude to different moments in Rudd’s career (but not Mac and Me #IYKYK).

More from TVLine

There are references to his work on screens small (Friends, Saturday Night Live) and big (Anchorman, Marvel’s Ant-Man). There’s even a nod to his previous career as DJ Donnie Dweeb. (We promise we’ll explain.)

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE

Ben Glenroy’s eulogy is given off-screen by none other than former One Direction frontman Harry Styles. Rudd previously played 1D’s biggest fan in a 2013 SNL digital short.

ANCHORMAN (1 OF 2)

Time to musk up! Our second Easter egg comes as soon as Charles and Mabel make their way into Gregg’s apartment. There’s a poster for the movie Sex Panther, named after Brian Fantana’s signature cologne. It’s made with bits of real panther, so you know it’s good. (“Sixty percent of the time, it works every time.”)

FRIENDS

The second framed poster is for a rom-com called Hannigan’s Wedding Night, an ode to Rudd’s recurring role as Mike “Crap Bag” Hannigan, husband of Lisa Kudrow’s Phoebe Buffay, on NBC’s long-running Friends.

Our second Anchorman Easter egg is hiding in plain sight. Zoom in on Gregg’s dresser, and you’ll spot a Brian Fantana prayer candle.

ANT-MAN

Above Gregg’s dresser is a poster for the animated feature Ant Family Adventures, a not-so-subtle reference to Rudd’s turn as Papa Ant Scott Lang in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

DJ DONNIE DWEEB

Diehard Rudd fans will know precisely why there’s a Ben Glenroy: Bat Mitzvah DJ doll. Before his breakthrough role in 1995’s Clueless, Rudd worked as a disc jockey. “It started [at] this bar in Kansas City called Studebakers,” Rudd recalled during a 2015 interview with Howard Stern. “I was probably about 18…. I went in, I was looking for a job as a waiter or a barback, and they weren’t hiring. So I said, ‘What about DJs?’ because I saw they had a DJ booth.” And the rest is history (see above).
