EXCLUSIVE: Only Murders in the Building is adding four new actors to its star-studded Season 4 cast: Richard Kind, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Catherine Cohen and Jin Ha. The quad will appear in recurring roles.

Details regarding the new season’s plot and character descriptions remain under wraps. However, we do know the new episodes will focus on unraveling the murder of Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), Charles-Haden Savage’s (Steve Martin) mind-bogglingly identical stunt double from his years on the series Brazzos and its 2020 revival.

Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich revealed to Deadline in a recent interview that the Only Murders In the Building trio: Charles, Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez), will kick off the new season with a trip to Los Angeles before returning to The Arconia in their search of Sazz’s killer.

New additions will also include Molly Shannon, Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Desmin Borges, Siena Werber and Lilian Rebelo, with Meryl Streep reprising the Season 3 role of Loretta Durkin.

In the Season 3 finale—following her highly praised performance in Oliver’s Broadway hit Death Rattle Dazzle— Loretta received two offers in productions that would require her to relocate to Los Angeles. Her new beau Oliver is into this idea as it would allow him to visit the City of Angels. Mabel’s new love interest Tobert (Jesse Williams) is also headed west, and surprisingly, she’s also keen on taking a little break from New York.

The Emmy-nominated comedy, produced by 20th Television, is co-created and co-written by Steve Martin and John Hoffman who also executive produce alongside Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal.

Notable TV credits for veteran actor Kind include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mad About You, Spin City, East New York and most recently, the TV movie Mr. Monk’s Last Case for Peacock. In film, he played Neil Browning recently in Netflix’s The Outlaws opposite Adam DeVine, who plays his son, Pierce Brosnan, Poorna Jagannathan and Ellen Barkin; alongside Joaquin Phoenix in Beau is Afraid and Argo for director Ben Affleck. He is repped by Innovative Artists and Arlene Forster Manager.

New York theatre star Rubin-Vega earned a Tony nomination for her portrayal of ‘Mimi’ in the original cast of Rent, and another for Anna in the Tropics. She was most recently seen starring in the Signature Theatre’s Night of the Iguana opposite Tim Daly and Lea DeLaria. She starred in the musical Miss You Like Hell at The Public Theatre and in the one-woman show Empanda Loca which was written for her. She helped adapt the play into the scripted podcast, The Horror of Dolores Roach which was then adapted into a TV series for Amazon. She is repped by Untitled Entertainment and Stewart Talent.

Actress, comedian and singer, Cohen, is best known for her hit Netflix comedy special The Twist…? She’s Gorgeous. The same live show won her the title of Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival. She is currently touring with her new comedy show Come For Me, which was named a New York Times Critics pick. She can next be seen in the indie film, The French Italian. TV credits include FX’s What We Do In The Shadows, Comedy Central’s Awkwafina is Nora From Queens and Broad City. Her feature credits include Michael Showalter’s feature The Lovebirds, the Disney+ reboot of Home Alone, and the Paramount+ film At Midnight. She is repped by CAA, Brillstein and Felker Toczek.

Jin Ha recently starred in the Apple TV+ series adaptation of Min Jin Lee’s acclaimed novel Pachinko alongside Youn Yuh Jung and Minha Kim. The series, which recently finished filming its second season, follows a family across four generations, led in modern day by Solomon (Ha) and his grandmother (Jung). Previous TV credits include FX/Hulu’s Devs with Nick Offerman and Sonoya Mizuno; Season 1 of the Max series Love Life opposite Anna Kendrick; and NBC’s Grammy-nominated and Emmy-winning production of Jesus Christ Superstar: Live in Concert as ‘Annas’ alongside John Legend and Sara Bareilles. He is repped by Suskin/Karshan Management and CAA.
