The Ones: TRL’s “Camp Shit”

With artists releasing songs at a fast and furious pace, it’s difficult for the average hip-hop head to keep track of it all—no matter how tapped in they are. That’s why we created The Ones, a daily post to highlight the song you need to hear.

TRL - “Camp Shit”

Everytime I listen to TRL, the group gains another member. At first there were two, then three, and now five members are on “Camp Shit.” Since they each use a similar fast paced rap flow, the Midwesterners aren’t the easiest to tell apart. Without taking a breath, they pass the mic to one another, seemingly fusing their verses together. Listening to them is like walking up to a freestyle circle at the corner of a party where they’re having a good time feeding off of each other. No matter how many members are on their next track, I’m sure the rapping will be good.
