With distinctive chrome stems and a choice of matte-black or classic white colorways, OnePlus is looking to stand out from the crowd with its latest earbud offering.

Aside from its sleek design, the Buds Pro have a number of cool internal features, chief among them their “smart adaptive noise cancelation” technology. Using a “three-mic setup”, the Buds Pro can automatically adjust noise cancelling based on current surroundings, setting the earbuds apart from competitors that typically use a predetermined level of noise cancellation. Peak noise cancelling from the Buds Pro sits at 40dB.

The OnePlus Buds Pro also feature Bluetooth 5.2, Dolby Atmos support, IP55 water resistance, a low-latency mode for gaming and some impressive battery life options. One charge from the Buds Pro case will provide a respectable 5 hours of listening time with Active Noise Cancelling turned on, and 7 hours without. However, factoring in multiple case recharges extends battery life to an impressive 38 hours of listening.

Compared to the AirPod Pro’s 4.5 hours of listening with ANC enabled, 5 hours with ANC off and a meager 24 hours of listening with case recharges, OnePlus effectively dunks on Apple in the battery life department. When you also throw in Apple’s much higher price of $249.00 for its flagship earphones, the Buds Pro shapes up to be an attractive alternative.

Additionally, OnePlus is touting its Warp Charge wired charging as only needing 10 minutes of charge time to provide 10 hours of listening on the Buds Pro, but it should be noted that this includes case recharges.

Considering their stylish design, impressive features, long battery life and reasonable price, we recommend anyone looking to upgrade their earbuds keep an eye on the OnePlus Buds Pro.
