One of Taylor Swift’s Exes Was Reportedly ‘Relieved’ When He Heard ‘The Tortured Poets Department’

When Taylor Swift’s 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, was released on April 19, after months of waiting, Swifties immediately went into detective mode to see which songs were about whom. Many believe the songs are a good mix discussing her current boyfriend Travis Kelce, and many songs were jabs at her exes Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy.
While Swifties have kind of accepted the fact that Alwyn may never publicly respond to the new album, many wondered how Swift’s brief fling, Healy, was feeling about the album. Turns out, he’s reportedly “relieved” by it?

A close source recently told UsMagazine that Healy was reportedly relieved when the album finally came out, and that he “couldn’t be happier” with how it turned out.
“Matty still thinks very highly of Taylor but we were all nervous about what she might have said on the album,” a source adding that he “couldn’t be happier” with how it turned out. “Matty’s family knew about the relationship. And they were worried that Taylor was going to rip him apart. Matty has struggled with life in the public eye, and he’s been doing really well, but the last thing that he needs is for every Swiftie in the world to think he’s a villain.”
Another source added that the 1975 frontman was “worried the public wouldn’t get the full story.” They said, “He was worried that their story would be shed in a negative light. Their relationship was fast, but extremely passionate and real.”
Now, this general unbothered stance was backed up by his aunt, Debbie Dedes, who recently spoke to DailyMail after the album’s release.
“Nothing surprises him anymore, He will not be surprised by the song. Him and her know what went on,” she said, hinting that his main focus is being with model Gabbriette Bechtel. “He’s very happy in his new relationship, so I’m sure he will be focusing on that.”
For those that don’t know, Swift and her ex-boyfriend Alwyn called it quits in Feb 2023 after nearly six years together. Less than two months later, she was spotted with Healy, whom she knew for about a decade beforehand.
He later arrived at her concert, and the two continued a brief fling until June 2023.
