Small-space living has led me to a ton of nifty home hacks. After moving into a tiny studio apartment, I needed to solve the issue of kitchen clutter.

I love to cook, but my alley kitchen only has five cabinets, one drawer, and one countertop to store all of my cookware and dishes. Since my limited space was already filled to the brim, I went on the hunt for a storage unit that could offer more real estate without taking up floor space.

Enter the Twine Wall-Mounted Wine Rack. The unit was the ideal solution to my dilemma — it created new storage space out of thin air. It’s just too bad I didn’t wait a month to get it since the wall shelf is on sale at Wayfair right now.

Before setting up the wine rack, alcohol bottles cluttered my single countertop and kitchen windowsill, while my wine glasses took up an entire shelf in one of my cabinets. Now, I have extra wiggle room in my cabinet and a ton of extra counter space to prepare food.

The unit measures 10.5 inches tall, 25 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. It has one flat shelf with a gold cabinet for corks underneath, plus a metal glass rack that allows you to securely hang stemmed glassware. I currently have six large bottles and one cocktail shaker on the shelf with five wine glasses hanging on the underside.

The cork cabinet has a small door that opens on the side of the unit. While I don’t use it for its “intended” purpose, I’ve tossed a corkscrew, cocktail stirrer, and bottle opener inside for the time being. I’m hoping to make better use of it down the line, possibly by storing napkins, coasters, bottle stoppers, or other bar essentials.

The unit came fully assembled out of the box, so all I had to do was mount it to the wall. Admittedly, I’m not the handiest person, so I enlisted some help for the task. In less than 10 minutes, we’d mapped out a spot to mount the wine rack and securely screwed it into the wall (all necessary screws and anchors were included).

The Twine Wall-Mounted Wine Rack has been one of the handiest purchases I’ve made for my apartment thus far. It created additional storage in my kitchen and made existing clutter disappear. Head to Wayfair to grab  the clever shelf while it’s on sale.
