Ever since One-Punch Man season 2 ended, fans have been eagerly waiting for the next season to come out. But when will it be released? Has the show been canceled? Here are all the latest updates.
Has One-Punch Man been canceled after season 2?
One-Punch Man has not been canceled, but its upcoming season has been stuck in production limbo.

One-Punch Man Season 3 was teased with Chikashi Kubota’s artwork in 2022, but no studio seemingly claimed the season back then. Following that, there were leaks in 2023 suggesting that Studio MAPPA, a popular anime production house, would take on Season 3. But since then, there has been no official information regarding that either.

Furthermore, the illustrator of the One-Punch Man manga, Yusuke Murata announced through his X account @NEBU_KURO that he will not be involved with the production of Season 3. This has had fans worried. But the reality is that the anime has been stuck in a production limbo with no studio seemingly attached to it at the moment.
Will there be more seasons of One-Punch Man?
With the manga of One-Punch Man being far ahead and season 2 of the anime being a big success, season 3 is expected to happen despite all the delays.
As soon as a production house picks up Season 3, it should be back on track. But currently, the development process for Season 3 is almost at a standstill, with chances of it being delayed indefinitely.
However, since it has a very strong fanbase, they’d continue to rally for the next season to happen. So, the hopes for its production to start aren’t completely dead yet.
