The latest episode of One Piece saw another fight happening between Straw Hats, who are with Vegapunk, and the CP0. Meanwhile, Bonney is out for Vegapunk, which has made things tricky. Episode 1102 was titled “Sinister Schemes! The Operation to Escape Egghead,” and it was released on Sunday, April 28, 2024.
The previous episode concluded the battle between Luffy and Lucci. The fight was intense, and both were well-matched until the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates entered Gear 5. Surprisingly, the awakened form of his Devil Fruit significantly eclipsed the current abilities of CP0. The episode also shed light on Devil Fruits through Vegapunk.

One Piece episode 1102 started with a spectacular entry of Kuma. He was seen soaring through the sky before crashing into the Red Port at the Red Line’s base. Considering he was the Invincible Slave of the Celestial Dragon, people became afraid of him. Dusting off his injuries as minor scratches, Kuma was determined to continue his journey. The Navy was unaware of his programming and evacuated people from the area as a safety measure.
Meanwhile, the World Government was after Vegapunk because of his high intellect. He discussed his predicament with Sanji’s group. Notably, Vegapunk invented many useful creations, such as the Sea Prism Stones, Cyborg Animals, Pacifistas, Seraphim, and many more. Besides, the World Government perceived him as a crucial asset for their development. If his death were to be declared, they would be shocked. As such, he believed it was his destiny that the Straw Hats were helping him escape.
Luffy’s group arrived at the Labophase, and Bonney seemed infuriated. She held a metal pipe in her hand while looking for Vegapunk. On the other hand, Atlas was being looked after all that happened to him in the previous episode. It was then revealed that Bonney wanted to kill Vegapunk because she didn’t like his response to her request to restore her father’s humanity. Moreover, Chopper realized she was unjustly blaming him for her misdeeds.

The Navy ordered CP0 to wait until reinforcements arrived. However, Lucci seemed to have other plans and wanted to wrap up the mission independently. He believed that waiting for backup would buy Vegapunk enough time to get away. Meanwhile, CP0 could control the Seraphims now that Sentomaru was defeated. Their authority chip was active, but they had to penetrate the formidable defense of Labophase.
Lucci, Kaku, and Stussy were suspicious of the deactivated Frontier Dome as it seemed too good to be true. However, they decided to charge in, and things were going in their direction. At the Labophase, they discovered the Thousand Sunny, and Lucci looked forward to destroying it. Kizaru then got to know that Vegapunk was being escorted with the help of the Straw Hat Pirates, and his fleet moved toward Egghead Island.
