‘One Piece’ cast: Who plays Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji in Netflix live action series? [PHOTOS]

Calling all treasure hunters: Netflix’s “One Piece” live action series officially debuted on the streamer on August 31, 2023. The fantasy adventure show is developed by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda and is an adaptation of the popular 1997 Japanese manga series by Eiichiro Oda. The plot follows the young crew known as the Straw Hat Pirates, who search the land and sea for the titular “One Piece,” the most famous treasure in history.

Meet the “One Piece” cast from the Netflix live action series in our photo gallery above (or click here for direct access). The main stars include Inaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Vincent Regan as Vice Admiral Garp, Jeff Ward as Buggy the Clown and Morgan Davies as Koby. All eight episodes of Season 1 are now available to stream. The following character descriptions come from Netflix.

Inaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy
The larger-than-life and eternally optimistic self-appointed leader of the Straw Hats crew. He’s got a good heart, a consistently sunny disposition, and a keen eye for the inherent strengths of those around him. Stubborn to a fault, Luffy is entirely focused on becoming King of the Pirates.

Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro
A badass, deadly pirate hunter who does not play well with others. He is on a mission to fulfill a promise to become the world’s greatest swordsman. To do so, he must defeat the best of the best to earn that distinction. Once his loyalty is gained, however, he’s an incredible ally. Zoro doesn’t suffer fools and his determination is unparalleled.

Emily Rudd as Nami
A quick-witted cartographer with a penchant for thievery. Adventurous and industrious when she’s seeking something, Nami has a tendency to be secretive and keeps her cards close to the vest. She dreams of mapping the whole world, but she’s got a tragic history that keeps her tied to her past.

Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp
The most emotional member of the crew, Usopp approaches the world with childlike wonder and dreams of becoming a great warrior of the sea. More often than not, he acts before he thinks which gets him into trouble. However, he has a good heart with deep, abiding loyalty for those he cares about, including his best friend Kaya.

Taz Skylar as Sanji
Passionate and honorable, Sanji is the charming and witty hothead and chef of the crew which makes him the perfect foil for no-non- sense Zoro. He dreams of finding the All Blue, said to be the only place in the world where fish from all four seas – East Blue, West Blue, North Blue, and South Blue – can be found.

Vincent Regan as Vice-Admiral Garp
A legendary Vice Admiral famous for capturing the King of the Pirates, Gold Roger. He’s invested in trying to dissuade Luffy from chasing his dangerous pirate dreams. He’s also a mentor for young Marine recruits, Koby and Helmeppo.
