Ashley Darby is cracking the code on home repairsThe Real Housewives of Potomac mama recently shared that she learned how to fix power outages and reboot her hot water. Next, she and her sons will start mastering yard work. But as Ashley figures out how to maintain a house after years of living in condos (see the clip above), her new neighbors still have a lot to learn about her.

In a recent interview with Northern Virginia Magazine, Ashley dished on life in her new Arlington home. “Surprisingly, a lot of my neighbors don’t know [that I’m a Real Housewife],” she told the mag. “Don’t get me wrong, some do, or there are others who do but they just respect that this is my home. They don’t infringe on my space.”

So while Ashley may not host a neighborhood RHOP watch party anytime soon, she does hope to connect with locals in another way. “I’m [getting] back into my yoga,” the certified instructor shared. “I would love to be able to connect with people in the community. That sort of being physical and being engaging with people for our health is really important to me, so that’s where I’ve got my sights set.”

Ashley and her sons, Dean and Dylan, moved into their new house last October. The yogi shared a peek at her new abode on the Season 7 finale of RHOP. Her video footage revealed a spacious living room with a fireplace and a kitchen with a sleek island. For Ashley, the property was love at first sight: “I walked through the door [and] I literally felt like I was at home,” she said.

Ashley bought the house with her ex-husband, Michael, and yes, she knows that may raise some eyebrows. “At face value, to buy a property with someone who I’m divorcing, yes, that does sound counterintuitive,” Ashley said in an RHOP interview. “Just dumb. But I do feel like, financially, it’s a better decision for me.”

Ashley has been candid about the $13,000-a-month mortgage payments she and Michael have to make. Last we heard, the couple were still figuring out an exact plan for divvying up those financial responsibilities.

But according to Ashley, they are on the same page about one thing. “I think Michael and I are in agreement that this is Ashley Darby’s property, and Ashley Darby’s property only,” she has said.
