In One Ear: Can you survive?

A recent press release from KOIN and the Chinook Winds Casino Resort in Lincoln City announced there is an open casting call at the casino’s showroom for the hit CBS show “Survivor.” The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 1.

“Are you mentally and physically tough? Can you ‘Outwit, Outplay and Outlast’ anyone at any contest?” Well then, this one’s for you. But you’d better be well prepared for the one-minute audition to “creatively express” why you should be considered.

The prize is hefty ($1 million), but the commitment is intense. The competitors chosen must be able to leave their lives and trundle off to a remote location for about seven weeks, build a shelter there and find their own food. Adding to the fun, they’ll be filmed up to 24 hours a day.
