MILLERSPORT − It's always smart to get a ride home when having too much to drink. But it's also a good idea to retrieve your vehicle once sober.

At the 2021 Luke Bryan concert a BMW owner got the first part right, but was a little slow on the second part. Along with the random sunglasses or other items people left behind, someone left their BMW sitting in the middle of the concert site by its lonesome the next day.

"A good, responsible driver," Fairfield County Emergency Management Director Jon Kochis said. "But it did take them a little long to come and get it. So, we actually had to track down the owner and ask him when they were going to come by and get their car."

Kochis said he assumes the driver was too intoxicated to drive and found another way home.

"So, we're happy about that," he said. "That is a stable plan."

Just don't forget to go back for your vehicle.

Bryan will make his third visit to Fairfield County on Sept. 15 when he stops at the Miller Family Farm as part of his Farm Tour 2023.
