'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' stars cut through 'Kimmel' en route to premiere

Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Margot Robbie cut through Jimmy Kimmel Live! while on their way to the premiere of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Monday night. The premiere of the new Quentin Tarantino film was literally across the street from where Kimmel tapes his show.

While Kimmel was performing his opening monologue, Robbie crossed the stage behind him, much to the audience’s delight. Kimmel asked “Can I help you?” Robbie replied, “No, thank you, I'm just heading to the premiere. Just cutting through.”

Soon after Kimmel returned to his monologue, Pitt also interrupted while cutting through. Kimmel warned Pitt, “I just want to say, this is not some kind of an alleyway.”

Next came DiCaprio, and by this point Kimmel was feigning frustration. But when Kimmel asked the actor if he was just cutting through, DiCaprio replied, “I actually came here to invite your whole audience to our premiere across the street.”

After that the show progressed as usual. Tarantino was the guest and at the end of his interview, Robbie returned to gather the audience to take them over to the premiere. Much to Kimmel’s chagrin, Robbie excluded him from the invite. “We just have room for the audience,” she explained. Then on her way out she told Kimmel’s sidekick, Guillermo Rodriguez, that she could find him a seat if he’d like to join.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood opens July 26.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on ABC.
