O'Lucky B's Famous Nachos moves to Tupelo

Nov. 4—TUPELO — A popular dining option in New Albany now calls the All-America City home.

O'Lucky B's Nachos Owner Lewis Baker moved his operations to Tupelo, where he's opened a brick-and-mortar location Tuesday at 802 N. Green St., in what was most recently Shake Rag Cafe.

And word has gotten out, as Baker on late Wednesday afternoon was out of one of the restaurant's most popular offerings, wings, and he was on his last order of fried ribs.

"Word got out pretty fast on social media," he said. "It just blew up."

Lewis opened O'Lucky B's as a food truck about two years ago in New Albany, where he was born and raised.

Nachos are one of Lewis' favorite foods, and he always wanted to be his own boss. Thus O'Lucky B's came into being. The name comes from Baker's last name and the fact that he considers himself a lucky person, and loves finding four-leaf clovers.

As he told the New Albany Gazette last year, his loaded nachos come with toppings such as beef, chicken, steak, pork, and lamb. In addition to those toppings there is lettuce, tomato, sour cream, black olives, sautéed onions, peppers, cilantro, jalapenos and salsa. The nachos come with three different cheeses including nacho cheese, queso and mixed shredded cheese.

He has his own blends of cheese and salsa, and his secret O'Lucky B's sauce that helps sets his nachos apart from others.

O'Lucky B's is open Tuesday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

And the wings should be back on the menu Thursday.
