Olivia Wilde Reveals How Jason Sudeikis Had Her Hooked From the Moment They First Met
Saturday Night Live alum Jason Sudeikis has always had a reputation for being a bit of a charmer, which his fiancée, Olivia Wilde, confirmed during a Tuesday appearance on Sirius XM’s The Howard Stern Show.
While chatting with Howard, the Vinyl star revealed that she fell for Sudeikis immediately. The 32-year-old actress explained that their first encounter was at an SNL after afterparty back in 2011. “I was on the dance floor and everybody was dancing around me and they seemed really happy and I was just kind of standing there,” she told the shock jock, noting that Jason walked right up to her and said “whatever you’re looking for, you don’t need it.” Then he walked away. After the brief interaction, their mutual friends Kristin Wiig and Jason Bateman tried to set them up, but Wilde was hesitant claiming that the funnyman only dated “really, really pretty girls.”
It wasn’t until they bumped into each other a few times on the streets of New York that Sudeikis finally asked for her number. Only thing is, he waited an entire month to text her. “I was on the hook,” Wilde confessed. “I was like, ‘Did Jason Sudeikis die because I don’t have any texts.’”
Fortunately, things worked out in the end. The couple has since gotten engaged and welcomed their 2-year-old son, Otis, in April 2014. But are there wedding bells in the near future?
