The 20-year-old singer has been living life at great speed since she dropped her critically acclaimed and hit debut album, Sour, in May of 2021.

Since then, she's won three Grammy awards, said goodbye to her starring role on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and toured North America and Europe.

The record is titled Guts, and it drops on Sept. 8.

Olivia also revealed the album title and artwork in a newsletter to her fans, where she discussed the inspiration behind the new record.

Namely, most of Guts was written when Olivia was 19 years old. (She turned 20 in February.)

"I made the bulk of this album during my 19th year on this earth. a year that, for me, was filled with lots of confusion, mistakes, awkwardness & good old fashioned teen angst," she wrote.

Olivia didn't delve into specifics about her life last year, but she elaborated on the influence for the record in a separate statement.

I think that’s all just a natural part of growth, and hopefully the album reflects that.”

Neilson Barnard / Getty Images for The Recording Academy

Olivia also shared a few more thoughts in an Instagram story on Monday, saying making the new album "was very daunting, very fun, and very fulfilling."

Thankfully, fans won't have to wait until Sept. 8 for new music. Earlier this month, Olivia announced her first single from Guts, "Vampire," which drops on Friday.
