Former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo celebrated her engagement to NFL star Christian McCaffrey this week with a bash in Rhode Island where everyone wore white.

"Thank you God for the love of my life," Culpo captioned the photos she shared on Instagram on July 4. In the photos, the model and reality star is seen dancing with McCaffrey, sharing a kiss, standing next to a tiered cupcake tower with their dog, and dancing with friends and family with sparklers.

While Culpo may live in Los Angeles now, it's no secret that the 2012 Miss Rhode Island is very much a Rhode Islander, co-owning several restaurants here with family who live in the Ocean State. So it made sense for a bash for family and friends to be held in Little Rhody.

When did Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey get engaged?

The couple, who have been together since 2019, got engaged on April 2.

Culpo shared the news on April 7 on Instagram, showing a series of black-and-white photographs. The photos show the San Francisco 49ers star running back, 27, taking a knee to propose while Culpo has a look of joyous shock with her hands up to her face.

The other photos taken during a Utah excursion vacation show the two hugging and Culpo showing off her sparkling engagement ring.

"We tried to keep this quiet for as long as possible, but word travels fast," Culpo wrote in an Instagram stories post. "I'm marrying my best friend. I love you so much, fiance."

Culpo told "Entertainment Tonight" in November that McCaffrey is so great, she broke her "no athletes ever again" dating rule (after relationships with high-profile athletes including Ryan Lochte, Tim Tebow and Danny Amendola).

"He's just the best. I feel like he is really everything that I could ever ask for," Culpo said of McCaffrey. "So I never have to worry about anything. I think that was the reason why I didn't want to date an athlete, no offense, because there is a reputation there."
