Charles Dickens fans are soon to see pickpocket Artful Dodger like they've never seen him before in an upcoming adaptation of classic novel Oliver Twist.

British singer Rita Ora – who is playing a version of the iconic character in Sky Cinema's modern-day Twist – was spotted on set in London recently, sporting a bleach blonde bob and a police uniform. A far cry from the attire typically worn by the charismatic crook.

In the snaps, the Fifty Shades star can be seen acting opposite Jude Law's son Rafferty, who's portraying the titular orphan. It seems his outfits are going to be much more hip too, as he dons camouflage print trousers, a white T-shirt and a green suede jacket.

Dodger isn't the only literary figure being gender-swapped in the movie either. Game of Thrones star Lena Headey is set to play vicious criminal and infamous baddie Bill Sikes.

David Walliams, Noel Clarke, The Lodge's Sophie Simnett, Legends of Tomorrow's Franz Drameh and Sir Michael Caine round out the cast.

Rita will next be seen on the all-star panel of ITV's new mystery performance show The Masked Singer, alongside Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Ken Jeong.
