The Cowboys football team is 3-0 after its 63-7 bulldozing of Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium.

Most of Oklahoma State's starters were on the sideline by the second quarter against a UAPB squad that was overmatched from the get-go.

Quarterback Spencer Sanders threw for 242 yards and four touchdowns to help give the Cowboys a 35-0 lead. Coach Mike Gundy started inserting second- and third-teamers in the second quarter, including son Gunnar, who threw his first collegiate touchdown passes.

The Cowboys had a couple special teams touchdowns, one each coming off a blocked field goal and punt. It was an overall whipping that, quite frankly, was expected against a team that only a week earlier played an NAIA squad.

Now comes the hard part. The Cowboys play Big 12 opponents the rest of the way, including defending league champion Baylor on Oct. 1 in Waco, Texas.
