The Turnpike Troubadours are ringing in the new year by making their late-night television debut.

The popular Oklahoma country band will be the musical guest on Thursday night's episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

It will be the group's first live performance of 2024.

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" airs at 10:35 p.m. weekdays on ABC. The other guests on tonight's show will include Oscar winner Natalie Portman and comedian Chris Distefano.

The Turnpike Troubadours, who hail from Tahlequah, will follow up their TV showcase next week with a two-night home-state stand Jan. 19-20 at Oklahoma City's Paycom Center. That's where they played their first headlining arena show in their home state back in November 2022.

Who are the Turnpike Troubadours?

The beloved Red Dirt band, which formed in Tahlequah in 2005, released in August the 10-song studio collection "A Cat in the Rain," the long-awaited follow-up to the group's 2017 album "A Long Way from Your Heart."

After an "indefinite hiatus" that lasted almost three years, the Turnpike Troubadours — lead singer and guitarist Evan Felker, lead guitarist Ryan Engleman, bassist RC Edwards, fiddler Kyle Nix, drummer Gabe Pearson and steel guitarist and accordion player Hank Early — embarked on a successful comeback in 2022 and have been touring steadily since.

Known for their sterling songcraft, top-notch musicianship and legendary live shows, the Troubadours have earned 1.5 billion streams globally and have recently sold out several arena shows and headlined top music festivals.
