She's finally here! "Orange is The New Black" star Danielle Brooks gave birth to her first child -- a daughter -- on Saturday, November 16 and she's sharing the first photo of her bundle of joy! Posting a sweet black and white snap revealing her daughter cuddled up on mommy's chest, she made the baby announcement on Monday by captioning the picture, “11.16.19 ❤️♾❤️ She’s perfect." Danielle Brooks has yet to reveal the baby's name or further details about the birth.

In the adorable first photo, her daughter is dressed in her diapers. Brooks made sure to show off the newborn's cute baby rolls and head of dark hair too. This is her first baby with her hunky boyfriend, who she has been linked to since 2018. As The Blast reported, Danielle Brooks shared the exciting news that she was expecting on July 2nd. In the announcement, the former Netflix star was seen holding up a Clearblue pregnancy stick and showing her results. "When one chapter ends, another begins," she wrote. "Super excited to share with you my new beginning, I'M PREGNANT." She followed that up by baring her baby bump for the world to see. Brooks proudly showcased her growing belly and revealed she was 5 weeks pregnant. Sporting a circular sticker reading "20 weeks," she was captured smiling ear to ear. "20 weeks in and feeling good!" Danielle Brooks told fans at the time. "So elated to finally share this news with you all. I’m happily pregnant!"

The actress's baby announcement came just weeks before the final season of "Orange Is The New Black" dropped on Netflix. Prior to the airdate, Danielle Brooks got emotional about saying goodbye to her character. Sharing some heartfelt words about the journey from season 1 to the end, Brooks, who played the beloved carefree Taystee, shared several photos of her transformation over the years. "All these pictures hold a story but the photos I take tonight will mean the most, as I share them with the people who have become my family and with carrying the little Debbie cake inside this Taystee oven," she wrote. "It’s the end of an era, and the beginning of so much more." Following her post, she stunned alongside her co-stars on their final red carpet to celebrate the end of "OITNB."

It has been a big year for Danielle Brooks. Besides having a child and ending her successful run on the Netflix show, the actress did what she always thought was the unthinkable by appearing on the cover of Shape Magazine. Speaking out about being bullied over her body, she discussed the importance of what this meant ahead of giving birth to her first child. "Now that I am about to be a mother, it means even more to make sure that this human being that I’m going to bring in to the world knows that they are enough when they’re hit with all these bullets coming at them," she said with tears streaming down her face.
