Ohmme Announce New Album, Share New Song: Listen

Ohmme—the Chicago-based duo of Sima Cunningham (who works for the company that helps produce Pitchfork Music Festival) and Macie Stewart—have announced their new album. The follow-up to 2018’s Parts is called Fantasize Your Ghost and it’s out June 5 via Joyful Noise. Check out the video for the duo’s new song “3 2 4 3,” directed by Alejandra Villalba García, below.

Cunningham and Stewart recorded Fantasize Your Ghost with producer Chris Cohen in August 2019 in Wisconsin. Discussing the music video in a press release, Alejandra Villalba García said:

Sima and Macie explained to me that the song was about seeing the landscape/neighborhood change in front of your eyes even though you don’t want it to change. I thought that the first half of the video should be about them staying still trying to resist change as the scenery around them changes quickly. The tall dark figure represents change and how it keeps getting closer to them until there's no escape. When they fight with another version of themselves, the newer versions are the ones that win because they embrace change.
