Offset showed off the OG “Thriller” jacket after BAPE announced a collaboration with the Michael Jackson estate.

On Tuesday (Oct. 24), the Japanese streetwear brand revealed the collab on social media. A BATHING APE showed four pieces from the collection, including a long-sleeved shirt that features Milo and MJ doing the iconic “anti-gravity lean” move.

Along with the tees, the company also included a yellow and red varsity jacket, paying homage to MJ‘s look in the “Thriller” video. A fan saw the outerwear and asserted that they needed to get their hands on the garment before Offset.

However, the joke was on them. Offset responded with a picture showing him holding the original piece, worn and signed by the “King of Pop.”

“The actual jacket here,” he typed as he gave a rosy smile in the photo.

Set also paid homage to the late great Jackson in his “FAN” music video. The rapper channeled his inner Michael Jackson throughout the video, as he showed love to the icon’s most familiar looks. The Atlanta entertainer taps into MJ’s Off The WallThriller, and Bad eras, dressing up as the legend from his “Thriller” and “Smooth Criminal” videos.

Offset also manages to sneak in a nod to Jackson’s legendary Motown 25 appearance, where he landed the Moonwalk for the first time live on stage. In an official press release, the entertainer referred to the video and his upcoming LP as “healing.” “This body of work is healing for me and a letter to my fans and supporters,” he expressed.

As for the BAPE x Michael Jackson collaboration, the collection will be released on Saturday (Oct. 28). Fans interested in the new drip can hit authorized A BATHING APE stores and the official web store.
