Odell Beckham Jr. and Drake have struck up a friendship over the last several years, so much so that the Super Bowl winner used to stay at the Toronto superstar’s home in the Hidden Hills. Beckham recently recounted a time when he was present at the 6 God’s residence while fans broke in.

“Somehow [these guys] found The Boy’s house, broke into it,” he told his Baltimore Ravens teammate Marlon Humphrey last Monday (Jan. 15) on an episode of Punch Line Podcast. “And man they come into the room like, ‘We made it to Drake’s crib!’ [Their] socks [were] dirty as hell like they had to crawl through the mountains to get here. So I had to try and play it cool. I had to dap them up but I was like, on edge at this point.” OBJ stated that, upon realizing he was there, they began to ask for pictures and autographs but he was more concerned with his safety.

“And to me, I don’t know if they’re carrying something” he explained. “I don’t know what it was. So I gave them the picture, the autograph, boom – kicked them out. Instantly called security, instantly called cops. But I’m talking about broke into his house! I’ll never forget that. Broke into his house 7:30/8 in the morning. That’s insane!” Watch the full interview below.

Drake is no stranger to having his home broken into. In 2017, a woman was charged with felony burglary for stealing Pepsi, Sprite, and Fiji water. Security found a woman in his bedroom wearing one of his hoodies and immediately called the police. She initially claimed that she was granted permission to be in his house, but later fessed up to breaking in.

This past July, a man who claimed the 6 God was his father was charged with misdemeanor trespassing. Several months prior, a man who appeared to be carrying something that could be a weapon was caught on security footage leaving the Grammy winner’s house.

The For All The Dogs artist was also recently “robbed” of his claim to being a Hip-Hop artist. Last week, Yasiin Bey appeared on The Cutting Room Floor and was asked to label the father of one’s music. “Drake is pop to me,” the artist formerly known as Mos Def said, adding that his music is something that you may hear at Target or while shopping.

Drake responded by posting an old interview clip of Method Man describing what Hip-Hop is on his Instagram story. “Hip-Hop is a culture,” Meth said. “It’s a way of life, the way you dress, the way you talk, the way you walk. It’s the breakdancing, rhymes, stage show, DJ, mixing and scratching, the wordplay. That’s Hip-Hop.”

The “God’s Plan” artist added a caption referencing Bey’s classic record “Umi Says,” writing “What umi say again? Lemme shine my light king don’t change up now,” with a laughing emoji.
